Digital Painting–Flower Series

The Project:

Art has always been a part of my life, but for a time, I found myself in an art dry spell, overwhelmed by the demands of two young kids, a full-time job, and school. I missed painting but knew I couldn't dedicate the time and space traditional methods required. To overcome this, I turned to my graphic design background and explored a new medium—digital painting.

With an iPad, Apple Pencil, and a simple app called Art Set 4, I rediscovered my creative flow. This approach allowed me to experiment with different mediums like oil paint, oil pastels, and palette knives, all while leveraging traditional graphic design features such as layers and undo. It also offered the flexibility to create wherever I was—whether listening to class lectures or relaxing on the couch.

This experiment reignited my passion and led to the development of my latest art print series, focusing on my favorite subject—flowers. It also marked the beginning of a complete Kitsy Co revamp.
