Colorful Kids Room Art

The project:

When I first launched Kitsy Co, I focused on creating colorful kids' art that channeled fun and imagination through bright, bold designs—often incorporating a colorful background with a single character as the focal point. My custom projects ranged from murals to canvas series and works on wood, with one of my favorites being the "Howdy Armadillo" mural for my youngest son’s nursery.

I love creating this type of art because it brings me back to the boundless imagination of childhood, contrasting with the perfectly coordinated spaces we often design as adults. Thoughtfully mixing, matching, and incorporating color pops adds character and meaning, especially in places where imagination and creativity should thrive, such as kids’ rooms, playrooms, and schools.
